(she/her)

Associate Clinician

If you're reading this, I presume you are looking for someone to support you on your journey of self-discovery and healing. If so, you have come to the right place! Hi there! My name is Sierra Gruca. I identify as a queer, Latina, cisgender female and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist here at Fullerton Community Counseling.

My therapeutic approach incorporates storytelling, emotions, and mindfulness. As a postmodern therapist, my work with clients is very collaborative and my goal in every session is to create a safe space for clients to feel seen, be heard, and express themselves in whichever ways feel most authentic for them. My practice is informed by narrative therapy and emotion focused therapy. As such, I am very passionate about helping clients explore, identify, and better understand their identities, stories, and emotions. I provide culturally centered, gender affirming, and sex positive care and support.

I enjoy working with couples, emerging adults, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.  I have worked with clients to help them navigate anxiety, grief, identity development, open relationships, relational conflict, infidelity, and emotional regulation.

Outside of work I enjoy dancing, spending time with dogs, reading books, and organizing. My guilty pleasure snacks are spicy chips and Mexican candy. My favorite kind of days are the ones immediately after it rains. My absolute favorite part about my morning routine is picking out my coffee mug!
